Lopez Island Library Reroof Project
The Lopez Island Library District invites qualified Architectural and Engineering (A&E) firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for design and construction administration services for the Lopez Island Library Reroof Project.
Located in the heart of Lopez Village, the library serves as a vital community gathering space and occupies a building, the core of which has roots extending back more than a century. This project seeks not only to replace a failing roof system, but also to improve building performance, resiliency, and longevity while preserving the character and visual identity of this beloved public space.
Project goals include:
- Eliminate active and potential water intrusion
- Extend the lifespan of the building envelope
- Improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort
- Enhance fire resilience given nearby wooded conditions
- Preserve the historic character and appearance of the library
The selected firm will provide architectural and engineering services including pre-construction analysis, design development, construction documents, bid coordination, construction administration, and project closeout services.
