Community engagement supports the transformation and ongoing success of
communities and their libraries. This workshop provides a framework for
dialogue among the library’s many audiences to re-envision the library as
a center of learning, creativity and innovation for the 21st century.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

*Understand concepts of library as people, place and platform
*Confidently assess community needs using SOAR model
*Use community-based decision-making to inform and align library
priorities Utilize the free resources available through Aspen
Institute (and others)

Led by: Susan Hildreth, UW iSchool Professor of Practice and Aspen
