Amigurumi Crochet Workshop for Earth Day, April 20

Please join us to learn the basics of creating a simple amigurumi (crochet stuffed object/toy) on Saturday, April 20 from noon till ~2p in the sunroom of the Lopez Library.
We will crochet a sphere and learn/practice crocheting techniques such as a starting magic ring, working in the round, increases and invisible decreases and closing a finished piece.

In celebration of Earth Day, we will use earth-toned shades of cotton yarn and re-cycled stuffing. Materials and tools will be provided but feel free to bring your choice of yarn (preferably earth-colored), stuffing such as old socks or fabric or filling from an old comforter, a crochet hook that is a size or two smaller that that recommended for your yarn and a darning needle.

Taught by Michelle Mielke who recently exhibited her incredible Amigurumi creations at the Lopez Library in February, 2024.
