Join us for a winter themed Linocut workshop, Saturdays December 7th & 14th from 10am – 1pm.
Linocut is a printmaking technique that involves cutting a design into a sheet of linoleum and then printing the raised areas. Linocut is an art-form that needs to have precise cutting. When creating your block you have to be mindful of the depth of each cut you make, the positive and negative space of each mark, and how lines flow together. These classes can be enjoyed by beginners but they are also a challenge for seasoned artists; it can push them to create something with more depth. Every time we offer this class it is filled up and we have a waitlist. I like to offer this program around the holidays because it gives people a great opportunity to create their own holiday cards. This year the Linocut class will be taught by our continuing artistic teacher, Dave Raynalds.
Space is limited as always so please be sure to RSVP
