Join us for a workshop on visible mending in textiles led by Lopez Library Artist-in-Residence Juniper Blomberg on Saturday, March 16th from 12-2pm. The artist is working in line with the Library’s strategic priority of supporting environmental stewardship in the community by empowering others to learn to mend, alter, and decorate their own clothing before buying new garments in order to slow consumption of trends and materials and keep preventable waste out of the landfill. All skill levels are welcome to participate. Please bring any garments you have that you would like to mend, alter, or decorate with you. Mending materials will be provided but participants are also welcome to bring their own tools and materials if they prefer.
