Cancelled due to inclement weather. We will discuss Louise Erdrich’s series on February 2nd, and Francisco X. Stork’s books in March.
Never Too Old: a Young Adult Book Club for Adults (formerly YARLI: Young Adult Readers of Lopez Island) meets the 1st WEDNESDAY of the month to enjoy the wonders of young adult and middle grade books and authors. All ages are welcome. Our next meeting is January 5th in-person at the library. Email beth@lopezlibrary.org for more information.
January 5th: Read one or more of Louise Erdrich’s “Birchbark House” series, which is an alternative to the “Little House on the Prairie” series, told through an indigenous perspective. The five-book series begins with The Birchbark House, followed by The Game of Silence, The Porcupine Year, Chickadee, and Makoons. These books are also available as e-resources on Overdrive/Libby.
