Chemical Reactions that Form the Universe on Wednesday, July 10th at 4pm

This week’s summer family program welcomes visiting educator Amy Oliver an informal-learning STEM educator; a dark sky advocate; a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador; and, an OSIRIS-REx Ambassador with a primary goal to engage the public in meaningful connections to difficult concepts, and to inspire wonder in learning about astrophysics, space science, and the science in our daily lives. Oliver will give a participatory presentation on the chemical reactions that form the universe, and will demonstrate the creative power of chemical reactions through an experiment called “Elephant Toothpaste!”
