In preparation for the December 7th meeting from 3-6 at the Lopez Community Center, the Department of the Navy has provided Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Lopez Islanders to review. It is on reserve in the reference section of the library. Members of the public are invited to review these documents from November 10, 2016 – January 25, 2017 as part of a 75-day public comment period.
There will be two meetings after the Navy’s Community Open House (Dec 7) to meet to assist people in completing the comment forms provided by the naval representatives. Those dates are Jan 11 (5-7p.m& Jan 22nd 3-5pm (Sunday) in the Library Community Room.
