in the Library Sunroom
This w
orkshop is for anyone who has every felt compelled to explore the visual language of drawing and painting, but felt daunted by the blank page. Beginning with a short presentation by Artist in Residence Iris Hazelton on the role sketchbooking plays in her practice, we will then explore a variety of mark making techniques and materials through the lens of curiosity and play. This offering will culminate with a walk down to Weeks Wetland Preserve, where we will leave our “art fear” behind and use our sketchbooks as tools of observation and representation. Bring your sketchbook and your preferred medium, or use some of the art supplies the library has available.
You may RSVP by logging into your account on the library website, or contacting the library directly.
