May the Fourth Be With You!
In honor of May the Fourth (May 4th, 2024) the Lopez Library will have many special activities to honor this Intergalactic Star Wars Themed holiday.
First, stop into the Library to pick up your Galactic Passport for First Saturday Art Walk (Sat, May 4th, 5-7 pm). Check out the map of participating locations, and begin your own stellar search to find all the Star Wars characters hidden throughout the village (one character per participating location). For each character you find, receive a stamp in your passport. Collect all the stamps, and return your passport to the Library to be entered in the drawing and win great prizes at local businesses! There will also be special surprises for anyone in Star Wars themed costumes at each participating location.
There will also be an all day Star Wars Movie Marathon in the Community Room showing Star Wars movies 4-7, which include the original first three classic Star Wars movies.
5:15-7pm: #7-The Force Awakens
Last, pick up an art/coloring page of R2D2, and put him into the exotic land of your imagination! Turn in the finished coloring page to the Library by the end of the day on May 4th, and be entered in the drawing to win great prizes!
