Roots & Wings: Little Tim Books

This month, I am excited to introduce a series of books that are being republished into circulation.

A lovely Library Patron donated the set of Little Tim Books by Edward Ardizzone.

Edward Ardizzone had a very interesting life and illustrated many books. Look him up!  You may have seen the picture of The Little Tim Books  floating past on our new arrival books on the website.

The Little Tim Books series starts out with Tim’s desire to be a sailor.

In the first book, Little Tim and the Brave Sea Captain, Tim finds out what its like to be a stowaway boy on a ship, thanks to his forgetful friend, the old boatman who forgets  him aboard the ship when he is delivering petrol…

The next 5 books are more adventures for Tim at sea. Each chapter ends with a welcome and a check in with the early 19th century parents as Tim embarks on a new adventure at sea. A sweet series with multiple classic colored illustrations to keep everyone on the edge of their seats.

This series is a rare classic and appeals to ALL AGES!

I have to say, I am reading these to the after school crew that comes in on Thursdays and I think this series has held their attention more than anything I have read over the past 4 years! That is saying something, as that crew is my toughest audience to hold captivated.

Please enjoy this series and a big THANK YOU to the lovely PATRON who donated them!
