Outdoor Discovery Programs at the National Monument Sites on Lopez Island
The Lopez Library, in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management, is offering an exciting series of family outdoor education programs exploring the terrain and wildlife of the San Juan Islands National Monument. Come hike, canoe, wade, contemplate, and discover the natural world, using the local National Monument sites as our classrooms. Program locations include: Watmough Bay, Chadwick Wetland, Iceberg Point and Point Colville.
These Outdoor Discovery Programs are open to all ages, but space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Please sign up early.
August 26th-Iceberg Point: Mammals and Wild Flowers
Explore the trail network of Iceberg Point, spot marine mammals from the shore, and learn to identify local wildflowers. REGISTER HERE
