July Art in the Library

Join us for Arts in the Library for the month of July:

Elena Zubulake, May/June Lopez Library Artist in Residence, has been workshopping land based art and performance the past month, and will be offering a presentation at July 5th First Saturday Art Walk. Please come and hear about making art that is interactive, healing, wild and embodied in wild and not so wild places in her artist talk at 4:30 pm.

Julia Mira has made a new body of watercolor artworks exploring the Library as an imaginative space and asks questions like: Does the Lopez Library have opinions? friends? body parts? Julia Mira explores these and other hitherto unasked questions in a watercolor exhibit at the Lopez Library in July.

Also, Coral Lehtinen will be hosting a One Night Pop up Show on July 5, 4;30-7 pm

With the Theme: My Nautical Obsessions. She says:

Bring on the summer beach vibes.  My coastal obsessions find their way to canvas… as I lean into colorful maritime still life paintings of the objects of my affection.  Beach scenes and island life are always what’s on my easel keeping me close to life at the beach.
