First Saturday Art Walk, June 1!

Come join us for a wonderful night out filled with arts and culture in Lopez Village from 5-7 pm on Saturday, June 1. This is part of the monthly recurring event, First Saturday Art Walks which as the name says, happen each first Saturday of the month. Read more about it here.

5 pm: Start at Lopez Library for a Youth Art Show featuring one of Lopez Library’s Artists in Residence, Rachel Brumer and the project she has worked on during her residency with Lopez School Youth: Hack your Hoodie! Using the same type garment, the ubiquitous hoodie– a PNW staple, Brumer has helped these talented students to add image, text, embroidery and much more to personalize these into unique artistic expressions. We are also ELATED to have Anastasia Crosthwaite singing with her extraordinarily gorgeous voice directly following the artist talks! So stay and have a snack while listening to this golden songbird perform!

5-7 pm: Lopez School Honors (AP) Art Show at the Lopez Center for Community and the Arts! Come check out more incredible youth created art works from Lopez School students. Drop in anytime to see the show and maybe meet the artists!

6 pm: Chimera Gallery will have a new show and artists talks at 6 pm  by artists Brooks and Karen Hattman, Chimera is open from 5-7 pm (show flyer below).

6:30 pm: Janis Miltenberger Glass Studio will be open 5-7 pm, with an artist talk with Janis at 6:30! (Her studio is directly behind Vita’s which is listed on the map)

5-7 pm: Skarpari open with amazing handmade knives, homewares, jewelry.

5-7 pm: Old Hand open with handmade jewelry, sculpture, clothing, homewares and will have snacks and door prizes this month!!!

Also, grab a beer at Brewvado or a drink or food special at Blue Heron Bistro as you stroll thru the village, or pizza at Apizzapie!
