The Lopez Island Library is thrilled to feature author, traveler & knitting instructor Cat Bordhi. Cat is the author of eight knitting books, one novel and the creator of a number of single patterns. A devoted traveler, she explores knitting in diverse settings around the world, teaching & learning techniques then sharing them with her readers and students. Known for her enthusiasm, humor and inventive spirit, her workshops are very popular. She will be leading knitting workshops again this fall & winter in Peru & Iceland and her stories of knitting from the two countries will be featured in the library’s program. She also regularly conducts knitting retreats in Friday Harbor. You don’t have to be a knitter to attend, but if you do, feel free to bring your work and knit as you listen to Cat. The library would like to exhibit your knitting in advance of this program. Have a hat, scarf, socks or mittens you knitted? Drop them at the library for display around the fireplace for a couple of weeks then join us Saturday Sept. 24th for a fun & unique event. Free to all. Sponsored by Friends of the Lopez Library
