Join this hands-on workshop to see, feel and smell a variety of PNW mushrooms and look-alikes, with renowned mycological enthusiast James Nowak aka Animal. Learn what characteristics to look for, and how to identify several common native mushrooms including edible species. James will bring and share a large selection of mushroom samples gathered from a recent off-island foray.
Animal is on the board of the Puget Sound Mycological Society and has led mushroom forays throughout the region for many years.
