Coming up Saturday, May 2nd! Start at the Lopez Library at 4:30 pm for an opening celebration featuring our current Artist in Residence. Raven Bartlett will be talking about how to observe an object and recreate it in miniature scale, and the importance of place in community – particularly the library, and talking about what gives place memory and what changes when we look at space through the lens of shifting scale.
Raven Bartlett is a multi-media artist who has previously worked as a miniaturist for television and film. In their work they love to explore the relationship between space and expectations. Raven’s Artist Residency will feature scale models of structures and furniture pieces from within our very own library, encouraging people to look at things in a new way, to relate to space differently, to expand their perspectives and to appreciate details.AND there’s great art around the Village!

Chimera Gallery invites you to experience Serving Vessels and Sailing Vessels, a new exhibition featuring the work of island artist TJ Anderson.
