Call to Arms

Gather your party, ready your spell slots, and prepare for a day of adventure where imagination leads the way. Whether you’re a dice‑hardened veteran or a level‑one newcomer, FantasyCon is the tavern where every adventurer belongs!

The Ansara Cycle is a tabletop roleplaying game of discovery, conflict, and rebirth, set in a world where the boundaries of empire, wilderness, and the unknown strain against one another. Across the vast continent of Kaeltharion, the Imperium holds sway with its courts and armies, but the wilds teem with ancient peoples, primal forces, and the remnants of civilizations swallowed by time. Beyond both lies Jinhara, a newly revealed land whispered to be the source of strange plagues and wondrous powers, a place where the old balance of the world is about to be overturned. The game invites players to step into this turning age, where every choice shapes the unfolding cycle of history.

Unlike traditional systems, The Ansara Cycle uses a skill-driven framework with roll-under mechanics, letting players grow through practice, failure, and resonance with the world’s essence. Magic is not a list of spells, but a dangerous balance of thresholds and risk; combat is tense and lethal, every strike carrying weight; and the cycle of the world itself is alive, responsive to the ambitions and missteps of those who walk it. At its heart, the game is about exploration—of lands, of power, and of the self—asking players to confront what endures when empires crumble, when the wilderness reclaims, and when the cycle begins anew.

Jacob (Jack) Wood

Jacob (Jack) Wood has happily called Lopez Island his home since 2018. An avid TTRPG (Tabletop Role-playing Game) player of over two decades, he started playing Dungeons & Dragons when he was 12, and since then has found a love of introducing new players to the myriad worlds of many TTRPG’s. From D&D to Rifts, Dragonbane to Shadowrun, as well as many other titles. Over the last decade or so Jack has worked on various concepts and designs for an original TTRPG, and finally The Ansara Cycle was born. Now Jack is excited to not only bring new players into the gaming community, but to bring an offering of his own creation to this community he has called family for so long.
