Join us for two great shows in the Library which open on July 6th as part of Lopez First Saturday Art Walk. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, July 6th from 5-7 pm with Artists Talks at 5 pm.
In the display case will be art by artist Amy Ferron – who describes her stunning visual works as:
Each object in nature is individual and unique. I look at grasses, flowers, and seaweeds and try to capture their beauty and combine them in a unique and playful world. Flowers bloom in the dark or commune with the stars. A powerful sun orchestrates plants growing behind a garden wall. Salish seaweeds move gently through a dark seabed, and bull kelp dance as they seek sunlight.
My aim is for each piece to evoke a feeling of hope and joy – for the viewer to delight in nature and the struggles and joy of being alive.
On the walls of the Library will be a Circus Themed Group Show Featuring works by: Bruce Botts, Stephen Carter, Brooks,, Sue DuMond, Nikyta Palmisani, Julia Mira, Carolyn McGown, Rocky Wigre.
For the opening reception, Lopez Library Artists in Residence, Jeff and Rocky Rolfzen aka The Lark and The Loon, will have live musical performances! Hope you can join us, then go check out the rest of the First Saturday Art Walk in Lopez Village!
