Come join us on Saturday, June 1 from 5-7 pm for an opening of Lopez School Youth Art Show featuring one of Lopez Library’s Artists in Residence, Rachel Brumer and the project she has worked on during her residency with Lopez School Youth: Hack your Hoodie! There will be artists talks at 5 pm as part of First Saturday Art Walk.
Using the same type garment, the ubiquitous hoodie– a PNW staple, Brumer has helped these talented students to add image, text, embroidery and much more to personalize these into unique artistic expressions. We are also ELATED to have Anastasia Crosthwaite singing with her extraordinarily gorgeous voice directly following the artist talks– so stay and have a snack while listening to this golden songbird perform!
This art show will be on display for all of June, 2024.
