“Walk on the Wild Side” the artwork of Patie Savage

The Lopez Island Library invites you to view the work of painter and glass artist Patie Savage on display in the library’s glass cabinet June 3rd through July 15th. Patie’s impressionist paintings and fused glass pieces may also be seen at Chimera Gallery in the village.

“As a daughter of artist George Nagel, I grew up in a home dedicated to the creation of art as sculpture, jewelry, painted works and even cartoons. Raising our children on a small cattle ranch in Central Washington led me to a life long love of animals and children at play.  With the guided training of paint master Leonard Wren and ceramic artist Nancy Bingham, I found my own expression of beauty and whimsy in the art world.  Cows, chickens, elephants or children, all capture life with an expression of wonder and a sense of adventure.”
